EXPECTATIONS OF STUDY
There are three forms of homework the students are expected to do every day
1) The assigned readings and assignments. This one is obvious to all of us and it is the homework we all associate with the idea of homework: an assignment to be handed in on a due date
Children in my classes are also assigned and expected to do the following types of homework daily
2) Review: everyday that your child has English he/she should spend 15-20 mins in review of that day's lesson or previous notes to solidify what they were taught.
3) Preview: the day before English class they should preview their readings that we will be covering in their class and be prepared for group discussion on these readings. This will help the student focus on the new material in class
Students are responsible for all work missed due to absence and are expected to contact a classmate (in the case of back to back English classes) or the teacher upon their return between classes.
